Unfair Compliance Claims by Competition

Competition many times fraudulently claims compliance to various statutory or specific requirements of the geography/ industry/ product. As a result of these false claims & false compliance, the genuine complying brands are faced with an unfair competition of either being priced out or ability to offer better margins to the trade network. These competing organizations, which make false claims, are many times able to use unethical means to securing the compliance certificates and offer consumers inferior products, which risk consumer’s health, safety and money.

Typically following false compliance are claimed by the competition and the Brands & Fakes network helps to protect the brands in each of these areas:

1. Compliance to the industry standards – global or local standards (CE, ISI, BIS etc.)
2. Compliance to health and safety requirements of the government or specific customer needs.
3. Compliance to labour & other statutory laws in industrial relations & acts
4. Compliance to financial discipline and laws for reporting
5. Compliance to environmental laws and those to prohibited activities
